Our fun and exciting week-end...

Well, our week-end started out great because Matt went to a Sears outlet store and bought us a new fridge! Yeah! Our old one was making a clanking noise when it turned off and it was getting louder by the day. I feel so trendy now because we have this cool stainless steel fridge.

So that is where the excitement ends. Matt decided that he would hook up the water and ice maker for the fridge and it became a lot more of a pain than he expected. He was crawling underneath the house all day Sunday and Monday trying to satire pipes and they kept leaking. He went to Home Depot like 5 times in 2 days just to get more stuff to fix what he already started. While he was saudering the last time the torch would not stay lit long enough for the stuff to get hot enough to sauder. He was getting so frustrated and I was getting a little annoyed having to hold my pee since the water was turned off and we couldn't use the toilets. (He did turn it on eventually after almost peeing my pants) I even had to wash my hands in the kids swimming pool out back.

Finally he got it to work without leaks and I am so happy now. I have never had a fridge with ice and water in it. We had one when I was growing up, but my parents never hooked it up. Probably because they knew how much of a pain in the ass it would be. I think this will really make it easier to drink LOTS of water now.

Our new bedroom...

My Mom helped me paint my bedroom yesterday and I must say that it was quite the chore. I decided that I was going to do a faux finish on 2 of the walls. Little did I know that faux finish means pain in the ass finish. We started at 11:00 AM and finished at 7:00 PM. I decided to use Ralph Lauren's suede finish paint and you have to do it in 4 tedious steps. This is the stuff that I used in the Sage color. I think it turned out pretty well. I am glad that it did after all of that hard work. Here is what the room used to look like:

Here are some pics of what it looks like now:

Lovin' My workouts again!

I have been working out for a year at my current gym now and I have kind of slacked on doing the weights lately. Yesterday, I decided that I was going to do my cardio and then some weights and I found this cool new machine that hurts, but in a good way. I had never tried this one before for some reason and there are no other machines at my gym that work these muscles so it is great for me. It is called the seated leg curl and it works your hamstrings and glutes (butt). Finally another thing that I love at the gym!

Remembering the 80's

The Meme 2peas challenge this week is back to the 8o's. Top 10 favorite 80's tunes, a picture of yourself in the 80's and the crushes that you had in the 80's.
a meme n (mëm): is an idea that is shared and passed from blog to blog, like a question posted in one blog and answered in many other blogs.
Here is a picture of me in the 80's. Gotta love the hair! I think I was about 13 in this picture.

My biggest crushes in the 80's were River Phoenix and Corey Feldman. One is dead now and the other is really sad and ugly. I do like River's brother Joaquin now though.

My top 10 favorite 80's songs are:
10. Safety Dance-Men Without Hats
9. Tainted Love-Soft Cell
8. Obsession-Animotion
7. Do You Really Wan't To Hurt Me?-Culture Club
6. I Know There's Something Going On-Frida
5. Rock Lobster-The B52's
4. Cars-Gary Numan
3. New Sensation-INXS
2. Situation and Don't Go-Yaz
1. Purple Rain-Prince

I cannot wait!

Tonight is the season finale of CSI and I am so excited! It is a 2 hour finale and it is directed by Quentin Tarintino who is one of my favorite directors. He has directed movies like Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill volumes 1&2, Four Rooms and Resevoir Dogs. He also wrote some of my favorite movies like From Dusk Till Dawn, 4 Rooms, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers and True Romance. I am so excited to see what he will do for the show.

Funny

Yesterday, Riley came up to me after hurting himself and said, "Momma, I broke myself." Later in the day he hurt his leg on something and said, "I broke my leg Momma, Daddy gotta fix it." He thinks that Matt can fix anything apparently. I think his sister has been teaching him some of her tricks when it comes to getting attention for sure. He now fake cries exactly the way she used to.

A few funny things that Riley says.

Ice cream truck = Anything that has to do with ice cream whether it is an ice cream cone or a bowl of ice cream. Everything is called ice cream truck.
Tiko = Every squirrel that he sees is Tiko because that is the squirrel's name on Dora the Explorer.
Kuppa chocky milk pease= a cup of milk even if it is regular milk he calls it chocky(chocolate) milk. At least he says please.
fauted = farted "Momma, Daddy jus fauted."
beauiful = beautiful without the t.
All of his shoes have to have names. He had his "Super Shoes" (Superman shoes), his Spider-man shoes are Spider-man shoes and his sandals are his "rocket shoes".

Whew! What a day!

I have had such a crazy day today! My Mom and I went to Home Depot to buy some new plants for the yard and I bought some really great ones. I got really excited to get home and plant them when it started to rain. I know, I know, I live in Washington, it is supposed to rain a lot, but not when I want to finally do some gardening. Anyway, then I go into my bedroom to watch 5 minutes of Days of Our Lives (that is all I need to watch to get caught up). When I come out of the bedroom, Riley had emptied half of the fridge in front of our dog Max. I think Max was so overwhelmed with all of the food that he didn't even know what to eat. He had only eaten a half a loaf of bread and 6 raw eggs so far. I have to admit that I almost grabbed my camera to take a picture of the chaos, but I resisted. I will be really happy when Matt gets home so I can get some laundry done and watch The Bachelor.
